Kids Group Piano
Up to 8 students with their own individual instruments participate in group piano classes. Students are combined into groups based upon age (for start up classes) and pace of learning and current performance level (for continuing classes). Teachers are specifically trained in delivering this lesson format and planning for the unique needs of each individual group to ensure maximum learning progression and fun!
What to expect:
- Organized activities (games on the floor AND at the piano) that are fun AND have educational value
- The 9 areas of music literacy from the Keyfest Curriculum covered during each lesson
- Professional level classroom management
- Teachers who can respond to individual student needs while maintaining a group focus
- Parent involvement during lessons
- Follow up take-home practice sheets to guide practice sessions
- Periodic parent contact to discuss student development within the class and practice habits at home
- Access to other supporting Merriam School of Music programming (such as sign up recitals and Studio Fest) free of charge (some conditions apply)
- Program is suited for those 4yrs and up
